My experience with Jean Pierre lasts for less than a year and I must say that he is the right choice for any guitarist who wants to open up his musical journey

Motivation and Artistry

I first met Jean Pierre when I was fifteen years old, having learned guitar for two years, and in desperate need for renewed motivation to improve both my knowledge and technique concerning guitar playing as well as the application of these skills in regard to songwriting.

Flexible Teaching

I feel such honoured and privileged to be given the possibility to appraise my guitar mentor in such a public place. In my opinion, it is the least that I can do to return, in part, what he has given me over the last year from when he decided to take me under his wing... moreover when I know that such reviews helped me to choose Jean Pierre as my guitar tutor!

Hello everyone
First of all a big hug and a much bigger sorry for all this delay for me just to assure you I’m alive…hehe!!

In these past months I had some very important gigs with my band Tribali apart from the improvised jams we did around Malta and some in Gozo . All this carries with it lots of band rehearsals and focus. In the meantime we were pre recording and writing the tracks for the new CD which we’ll start to record this month. Date of release is yet to be known but will surely be after May 2012.Looking forward to record in Howard Keith’s new studio. I’m sure it’s a blast! I took in more new students and a big thanks to everyone for giving out my name to people keen to move forward and improve their guitar playing. I feel honored to teach and see people becoming really good and successful with their musical ventures. Keeps me moving on and learn and teach more and more!

We did some work on the website and added some new features plus new lessons and references. In the pipeline and close to be seen pretty soon are video shoots of me teaching and showing new techniques and exercises. I will shoot some jams and improvisations too. Like this I believe I can give out more musical ideas and stuff that helped me greatly through the years for all to benefit from. Learning abstract tabs or music notation is miles away from the real thing being seen, heard and explored. I myself learned a lot just seeing my ‘heroes’ play and helped me execute what they did much quicker and smoother. That’s why I keep stressing the one to one teaching method I use with all of my students. The seeing is an invaluable lesson which no book can match!

I started creating ‘jams’ in lots of different keys and modes. I record them and hear them a week or two later. This is helping me keep ‘fresh’ in my approach to study and play since I try every time to do things differently. Hopefully I’ll mix them a bit so they’ll sound better and put up here for everyone to enjoy and hopefully learn something too. Music is an incredible art which leaves you always on the edge to search for more leaving you the right musical appetite to be creative. Yes I feel that’s very true.

I cannot log off without thanking from the heart Keith owner of Webcraft for the great job he does on this beautiful website. Also big hug goes to Chris which has all the patience in the world to help me put things in order up here. These are those people that work behind your back all the time and give you a big help and push in your career without even noticing. Big hug guys!

Enjoy the new lessons and always feel free to contact me if you need some tips or help regarding your playing. Will be glad to help you the best I can. Until soon keep well and practice with a 100% focused mind so the results will always be encouraging!

Jean
