Flexible Teaching
I feel such honoured and privileged to be given the possibility to appraise my guitar mentor in such a public place. In my opinion, it is the least that I can do to return, in part, what he has given me over the last year from when he decided to take me under his wing... moreover when I know that such reviews helped me to choose Jean Pierre as my guitar tutor!

My personal search for a guitar mentor commenced after fifteen years of myself "trying" to play guitar from whatever I have learned from friends, books, seen on music videos, and learned from the Internet. Obviously, this did not help that much when being confronted with different genres of music... believe me you feel stuck in one place, helpless, with no apparent constructive ideas in your playing.
After a short enquiry, I have shortlisted Jean Pierre as he seemed to take on board and understand what I needed from the tutorials. More than anything, I appreciated the fact that each and every lesson is on a one-to-one basis - hence the personal touch. Moreover, JP oozes dedication as he can be as flexible as you need him to be and interactive as much as you can imagine. Due to the extensive knowledge of the instrument and what it brings on and about, JP is insurmountable, and this gives him the cutting edge of being the true Maltese Guitar Master.
Apart, from lecturing, JP is a prolific guitar player, and till now is the best guitarist I've ever heard locally. I do think that the Tribali project is enhancing his ability as a guitar virtuoso especially during those melodic guitar bursts where you have to let go of whatever you are doing and just... listen. And if this project takes on globally, JP will get the merits that probably he is not getting in our closed environment.
I can say that my playing, slowly, is taking a new colour. JP with his technicality in modern and older music has progressed me to play in other different manners and to see music and the guitar from a new perspective. This has already been credited and witnessed by friends of mine.
My experience with JP, to say the least, is the best in terms of learning speed, learning environment as well as equipment and material provided. He can follow your thoughts, your pace in learning, adapt to your knowledge and build on it. Therefore, being a beginner or an advanced player (or anything in between) and you need a trainer, I suggest and recommend, hands down: Jean Pierre Zammit.
