Hi folks - some news regarding my present and future ventures... I’m writing lots of material for the new record. I have nearly completed 4 tunes which vary from straight-ahead rock to progressive metal, to catchy or strange ballads! Yes, the new style is very versatile and uses lots of heavy guitar riffs, so go get your ear-plugs!

Until now I used Ivan from Red Electrick on bass and Karl from Thomas Hedley on drums. They did some cool stuff and tightened up a lot my sound. Still I might be using more musicians on the other tunes like Ben Galea and Adrian from Greenhouse on drums and Simon Sammut on bass. Reason is that every different musician will have some creative stuff that is unique. Then when added to my music it can give it a little more edge!! Rob from New York is the engineer/mixing buddy and is working hard to help us get the ‘right’ drum tone above everything else..and all through the emails! Then all will reach John Cuniberti for the mastering. Yes the Satch sound engineer!!

I started to jam with some great musicians with the aim of forming a solid band to gig. These are Denis Mallia on keys William Mangion on vox and keys Simon Sammut on bass Jason Smith on drums and they leave me play some guitar J Style varies from blues to rock to swing to funk. Until now we’re doing some very cool covers but giving them an original feel. We’ll be gigging very soon. Will keep you posted with dates.

Re the worship band I play in weekly we’re in talks with all musicians so that things hopefully go to the next level. After all the Lord deserves the best!!

I had some talks with different guitar agents to get a sponsorship/endorsement. Although I was offered a good Washburn axe the deal wasn’t what I was looking for. Then there was the PRS and ESP but both had something missing in what I wish in an axe. I’m still waiting for the MusicMan answer on the Axis. Ben is working to get me an endorsement with them. Such a nice guy!

I re shuffled a little bit the students list removing the non serious ones and adding some new guys. I thank Matt that keeps doing such great stuff on my website. I beg him to come for some guitar lessons but he’s a tough nut to crack...

Will be in touch very soon...

Jean
