Hello folks
Some great news…about a new amp I started using!
I have been wondering lately how I would sound if I had to start using a new brand of amplification!! So I had this idea to check out the ENGL amps. Through some students and Kenny from Olimpus Music plus some reviews I read myself I learned that they were the best amps around. They are hand built plus being equipped and powered with valves exclusively. So I spoke to Joe the owner about my dream. He accepted instantly to support me in using the Invader 100 watt head! I plugged it in with my old Marshall cab and I was left completely amazed by the clarity and versatility of the tone!
From crispy clean to metal overtones full of character the head needs no added stuff to deliver the best ever tone I played upon. And the simplicity to manage the 4 distinct channels is ridiculous! As the head comes without reverb and other signal processing stuff I got the GSystem from TC Electronics too. It’s an incredible piece of equipment that not only delivers the best signal processing tones I’ve ever heard but it’s a guitar system in itself as it can plug together any pedals, wahs etc one wants to use and avoids having tons of switches to handle especially live!! Yes the new tone is going to be a dream one for me having the Axis going to the GSystem that goes to the ENGL Invader 100 that feeds the Marshall 4x12 cab!! I would like to thank Joe of Olimpus Music and ENGL for supporting me in using the Invader 100 head.
Next Fri 26th you can catch me with my band The Rooftop at the Intercontinental Hotel in Paceville between 2100 till 2300 and hear this sound for yourselves!! The band is getting tighter and we’ve added some very cool tunes to the list so be sure not to miss this one!!
Soon I’ll update you with my new instrumental stuff news… until then God bless!
Jean
