"It is my great honour to share my thoughts with you on Jean Pierre Zammit, a close friend of mine, which I believe is not only an exceptional artist but also a highly successful guitar instructor.
I have been playing for over 20 years now but I have never gone through the depths of the qualities that Jean Pierre has achieved through sheer determination and relentless practicing of basically all the modern guitar techniques one could imagine.
His latest promotional cd featuring three quality tracks is proof of an artist who not only possesses all the technical abilities, but also presents his compositions in an original and creative way that in my opinion also showcases his style of writing and performance.
In saying that, I have to add that being a close friend of his, I have even seen him flawlessly perform these songs at his home studio where I even remarked how he could do them time and time again without missing one note or how he could note for note memorize his compositions. His answer, as always, was by doing long hours of practice.
As a guitar teacher Jean Pierre is one of the most talked about in our country and proof to this is the young talent I have seen or met these last couple of years where amazingly most guitarists in bands that I recently spoke to mentioned him as the prime reason to their success in becoming proficient with their technique while still being melodic and also in their songwriting abilities.
I myself have never been a student of Jean Pierre’s however as a long time buddy I have jammed and also performed with him and just by doing this I have acquired a wealth of knowledge which I continuously use in my own performances to date.
It is with pride that I recommend Jean Pierre to you as an emerging highly talented guitarist and I am sure that given the right chance he will be appreciated by guitar enthusiasts just as much as some of today’s top level players."
